BYU Football 2008

We are so excited to go saturday to the first BYU football game. We bought season tickets this year with Pres's brother Darrin. We have had them in past years and it will be good to have tickets again. We love to watch all the games and love to be at the games. I will go to a few games with him, and he will take the boys to some. The girls don't care about going. We have already bought our blue BYU shirts and are ready to go. Hopefully everyone else in the stadium will be wearing blue too. We hate it when the fans don't wear blue. Come on show your school spirit!! BYU 12-0 BCS or Bust. Go COUGARS!!!!

Okay so here is a pic of Andrew.

So you have to know my 16 year old Andrew does not like to have his picture taken at anytime. Most of the ones I have are either his hand in front of his face or his head turned. Unless I am lucky enough to sneek one in and he doesn't know I am taking it. This morning as he was leaving I told him his dad needed me to take a picture of him. He wasn't happy but I did get 2 pics. The first one is the usual, then the second one I told him to just let me take a nice picture. I actually got one that is nice!

First day of school!

Today was the first day of school for Brooke, Brittany, and Andrew. Nate is in 7th grade so his first day was yesterday. They get a first day all by themselves so they can get a feel for the school and schedule without all the 8th and 9th graders there too. He had a great day at school and loved junior high! He had friends in each of his classes so he was happy about that. So today he didn't have to go to school. Instead he went laser tagging with his friends and out to lunch. Well our morning started off really early with excitement from Brooke. She is going into 2nd grade and woke us up at 6am. She was too excited and couldn't sleep any longer. Andrew was already up and getting ready for school so I told her to try to sleep for another hour. She didn't but just laid on her bed. Andrew has early morning seminary this year for 11th grade. He wanted to be able to take more classes at the high school so he opted for early morning seminary. He has to be there every morning at 7am. He was excited because he got to take Dad's car today to school!! I remember my first day of driving myself to school. Fun times!! He texted me around 9:30 to ask me to go check down in his room for his schedule to see if he had a certain class 2nd period. Yes he forgot to take his schedule with him.....boys!! He had to be to work today at 3pm so I haven't heard from him to see how his day went. I bet he had a good day. Well I got up at 7 and made my girls breakfast. They ate and Britt was out the door to meet her friend to walk to school. She looked really cute and was excited for big 9th grade. Brooke was really excited to put on her Hannah Montana clothes and shoes. She loves Hannah Montana. She had chose a minnie mouse back pack this year. She is so fun!! Well they left for school and it was really quiet in my house!! Now just have to get ready for homework and getting back into the schedule of the school year.

Whats been going on....

Summer is almost over! 9 more days until school starts for most of my kids. Nate gets to go a day earlier. I can't believe how fast summer went by. We have all the kids school clothes bought except Andrew. He has been working every day so hopefully we can take him on Thursday when he gets off work.

We took the kids bowling last week and they absolutely enjoyed it. We all had a great time! Preston and I used to be on bowling leagues when we first got married for many years after that. We had good bowling averages, of course Pres was way better than me! Well when we bowled with the kids we all didn't bowl very well until the second game. Then everyone got the hang of it and we bowled really good! Here are our scores: Brooke 79 Britt 75 Tam 167 Pres 186 Nate 115 We all had fun and they want to go more often now. Nate I think will be a really good bowler. He gets it! Takes after his dad I guess. Fun times!!

Britt goes to girls camp tomorrow for 3 days! She is really excited and loves girls camp. This will be the last year at a certain camp and next year they get to go to a new camp in Heber. She is looking forward to that. The hard thing will be she has to go without her phone and ipod for 3 days.....can she survive? :)

Andrew has been our hard working boy! He works at Seven Peaks and just got a promotion a couple of weeks ago. He got a nice raise, and now supervises and has more responsibility. He does very well at his job and we are proud of him. He is doing well on saving for a car. He wants something nice and it will be exciting to watch him decide what to buy.

We had our annual yard sale on saturday with our family. It is usually so busy from the time we are setting up till we leave, and this time it was not so busy. We made some money but nothing like years past. So we are now going to have another one in September some time. Right as we were putting things away we had a down pour! We were soaked when we were done!! We cleaned up faster than I think we ever have. At least we got cooled off I guess.
